Data deletion instructions
Last updated: 28 September 2026
You can ask for your personal data to be deleted from Sage Connect at any time. How you do it depends on who you are.
If you are a patient
Your dental practice controls your data in Sage Connect.
- Contact your dental practice (by WhatsApp, phone, email or in person) and ask it to delete your WhatsApp data.
- A member of the practice team opens Patients in Sage Connect, finds your record and erases it.
- This permanently deletes your name, phone number, notes, conversations and messages from Sage Connect.
If you'd rather contact us, email support@sageconnect.co.uk with the subject “Data deletion request”, your name, your WhatsApp phone number and the name of your dental practice. We will pass it to your practice straight away and confirm to you once your data has been deleted, within 30 days.
Messages already delivered to your own phone stay in your WhatsApp app; you can delete those yourself. To stop receiving messages, reply “STOP” to the practice or block its number in WhatsApp.
If you are a member of practice staff
Ask your practice manager to remove your account, or email support@sageconnect.co.uk from your work email address. We delete your account data within 30 days. The practice keeps a record of which messages you sent as part of its patient message history.
If you are a dental practice
To close your account and delete all your practice's data, email support@sageconnect.co.uk from an account owner's email address. We can export your data first on request. All practice data, patient records and messages are deleted within 90 days of closure, and your WhatsApp Business Account is disconnected from Sage Connect.
If you contacted us
Email support@sageconnect.co.uk and we will delete your enquiry within 30 days.
