Terms of service
Last updated: 28 September 2026
These terms apply to dental practices and their staff (“you”) using Sage Connect, operated by SAGGE CORE GROUP LIMITED, company number 17245215, registered office 89–91 South Road, Southall, England, UB1 1SQ (“we”, “us”). A practice's signed order form or agreement with us takes priority over these terms where they differ.
1. The service
Sage Connect is a web application that lets dental practices send and receive WhatsApp messages with their patients through Meta's WhatsApp Business Platform, manage message templates, and view reports and usage.
2. Accounts
- Only authorised staff of a practice may use its account. Each person must use their own login and keep it secure.
- The practice is responsible for what its staff do in Sage Connect and must remove staff who leave.
- Tell us straight away at support@sageconnect.co.uk if you think an account has been misused.
3. WhatsApp and Meta
- Your use of WhatsApp through Sage Connect must follow the WhatsApp Business Messaging Policy and WhatsApp Commerce Policy, and Meta's terms for the WhatsApp Business Platform.
- Meta decides whether to approve message templates and may limit or suspend a WhatsApp number. We cannot override Meta's decisions.
- WhatsApp conversation charges are set by Meta and passed through to the practice as agreed with us.
4. Acceptable use
You must:
- Only message people who are patients of your practice and have agreed to be contacted on WhatsApp, and record where that agreement came from.
- Stop messaging a patient promptly when they ask you to.
- Use business-initiated messages only through approved templates, and free-form replies only within WhatsApp's 24-hour customer service window.
- Not give clinical advice, diagnoses or medication instructions over WhatsApp; invite the patient to an appointment or call instead.
- Not send spam, unlawful, misleading or offensive content, or use Sage Connect to try to access other practices' data.
We may suspend an account that breaks these rules, putting patients or the platform at risk.
5. Data protection
The practice is the data controller for its patients' data and we are its data processor. We process that data only on the practice's instructions, under a data processing agreement that meets UK GDPR Article 28. Our privacy policy explains how we handle personal data.
6. Your content
The practice owns its patient data, messages and templates. You give us permission to store and process them only to provide Sage Connect to you.
7. Availability and support
We aim to keep Sage Connect available at all times but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service, including where Meta's services are unavailable. Support is available by email at support@sageconnect.co.uk during UK business hours.
8. Fees
Subscription fees and WhatsApp conversation charges are set out in your order form. Unless agreed otherwise, invoices are payable within 30 days.
9. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law. Otherwise, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability in any 12-month period is limited to the fees the practice paid us in that period.
10. Ending the service
A practice may stop using Sage Connect at any time by giving the notice in its order form. We may end the service with 30 days' notice, or immediately for a serious breach of these terms. When the service ends, we delete the practice's data as described in our data deletion instructions.
11. Changes
We may update these terms and will give practices at least 30 days' notice of significant changes.
12. Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
